Overview
This tutorial will provide attendees of RTAS 2007 with an introduction to
Microsoft's new platform for real time operating systems: Windows Embedded
CE 6.0. It is a componentized, real time operating system and powerful tools
for building a broad range of small-footprint embedded solutions. Mike Hall,
a senior technical product manager in the Mobile and Embedded Devices group
at Microsoft, will be providing an overview of the key features of CE 6.0
while walking attendees through a number of demos and real world industry
and academic examples of the use of this RTOS.
Presenter Bio
Mike Hall is a Senior Technical Product Manager in the Mobile and Embedded
Devices Group at Microsoft, working with Windows Embedded CE and Windows XP
Embedded. Mike has been working at Microsoft for 10 years originally in
Developer Support, focusing on C/C++, MFC, COM, device driver development,
Win32, MASM, and Windows CE operating system development, and then as a
systems engineer in the Embedded Devices Group before taking on his current
role. Mike Hall is responsible for many of the technical resources available
on Windows Embedded CE on MSDN and has one of Microsoft's most popular blogs
